WATER in MOTION

Website redesign & digital product transformation

WATER in MOTION is a choreographed aquatic exercise program developed by SCW Fitness Education. SCW licenses usage rights of the program to gyms and athletic facilities worldwide, and also produces robust support content for WATER in MOTION instructors.

I led the rebranding, design, and development effort to transition WATER in MOTION's web presence from an outdated, non-responsive HTML website to a sleek, responsive website and CMS.

I was also lead product designer undertaking digitization of their "Wave Kit" subscription service, a quarterly-released suite of video, music, and written resources for instructors. When I arrived at SCW, Wave Kits were shipped to subscribers as a packet including a physical DVD, CD, and booklet. To cut business overhead and make the content more easily accessible, I developed a web-based membership experience that gave WATER in MOTION instructors access to their subscription content on any device.

With WATER in MOTION catering to the most elderly subset of SCW's demographic, my work on this brand was an ongoing challenge in learnability and accessibility.

SCW OnDemand

Fitness video streaming service

SCW Fitness Education occupies a B2B niche in the fitness industry, serving facility owners and managers as well as fitness instructors, rather than the end fitness consumer. While on-demand streaming fitness solutions have certainly grown in popularity among exercisers, SCW noticed an opportunity in the instructor education sector.

In 2016, we developed a subscription-based streaming service utilizing SCW's massive library of instructor education videos. I led the research, design, and development of this project, and, post-launch, I was also responsible for training junior designers to take over upkeep and growth of the service.

SCW OnDemand dramatically reduced demand for SCW's physical DVDs, significantly lowering company overhead. It has also consistently been SCW's top selling single product every year since its launch.

Starbucks Innovation Summit

A corporate celebration of ideas

Through the agency Bamboo International, I contributed to the experience design of Starbucks's 2015 corporate Innovation Summit. In addition to a summit logo, badges, and other print collateral, I provided sketches as well as backdrops and other display assets for "Bar De-Bean," a bazaar-inspired tasting and exploration experience within the summit. The immersive experience was built onsite from my sketches.

Unvelope

Building an e-card startup from scratch

Unvelope's mission was to change the perception of the e-card industry, while enabling more thoughtful and beautiful communication in both personal and business relationships. I joined the team early in the startup stage, and helped build the company from the ground up.

As Lead Designer, I produced their entire catalog of e-cards, which encompased illustration, graphic design, and motion graphics work. I also developed the UI for Unvelope's web platform, and interfaced with the development team to oversee its implementation.
